The Grassroots Researchers Association (GRA) structures its strategic programmatic focus around six core structural pillars designed to foster holistic recovery and resilience: General Protection (safeguarding vulnerable populations, civil documentation, and gender-based violence response), Food Security (providing emergency cash assistance and climate-smart agricultural support), Health & Care (delivering sexual and reproductive health services, mobile clinics, and mental health support), Education in Emergencies (rehabilitating learning spaces and providing accelerated learning for out-of-school youth), Anticipatory Action (executing pre-arranged financing and early messaging to mitigate climate shocks), and Conflict, Security & Justice (facilitating community-led peace mediation and expanding legal aid). These pillars are seamlessly integrated with cross-cutting interventions in WASH and nutrition, empowering target groups such as survivors of conflict-related sexual violence, children born out of war, and persons with disabilities across Northern Nigeria and the Middle Belt.
